Bumper bits needed urgently, Alton Hampshire ** Now sourced

Recommended Posts

Hi! Can anyone help by selling me some bumper bits and circlip pliers - urgently needed in Alton Hampshire as 2 Pepperpots received yesterday have brutally pecked the vent and surrounding area on one of my Gingernuts (also received yesterday). I realise the pecking order is being established but my poor Gingernut girl is really in a mess and being bank holiday nowhere will be open :(

I will travel to collect, and pay cash.

Im a new chicken keeper and this is really upsetting/not going quite according to plan!!

Is all ok with your girls?? I know how that feels it happened to mine last year when I first got them!! I have both bumpa bits and pliers if you are ever in need, and just down the road ish!! :)

Hi. Thanks for your kind offer, and asking after them but unfortunately not. I had 4 delivered on Friday (my first ever ones) and a Gingernut was pecked so badly it died earlier today. Who knew I could get this upset about a chicken I hardly knew! The perpetrators were Pepperpots which have been temporarily rehomed with a friend as I needed to separate them but just dont have the 'facilities'. Tonight I have one lonely Gingernut :(

Oh no poor you! Thats really awful to happen just as you got your chooks. Did they all come from Omlet or a local supplier?

My gingernut is the one that gets picked on by my two bluebells and a speckledy as she is bottom of the pecking order when I first got them within a week poor popcorn got a hole the size of 2p above her tail,(if it wasnt for the postman who separated them I think she would have died) and ended up living in the kitchen for 2weeks whilst it healed. It did settle with help of antipeck spray and bumpa bits.

Thinking I might even up the numbers soon and get some ex batt/barns.

I hope you'll be ok, as this clearly wasnt what you had in mind for your first week :(

Let me know if theres anything I can do to help.

Marion
