Bramble
Hello Everyone!!! I'm very chuffed to say that one of my girls laid a double yolk egg yesterday (Sad, I know, but I've never seen one before - it's very cool!!! ) Anyway - said egg has set me wondering, if the egg had been fertilised would it have been viable and would there have been twin chicks? I couldn't help but notice that there was hardly any white (wasn't room for much with all that yolk!!!) so would there have been enough to develop a chick once fertilised? Sorry, I know this is probably a very stupid question, but I can't help it and I know that the Omlet Oracle will know!!!!!!!!!!
mimi5
I'm sure I read on here recently that double yolkers aren't viable and wont hatch....but don't quote me!!
