merlina
Not sure what forum this should be in, but thought I'd try here... Since I moved I no longer have a tumble dryer. The main downside is that my clothes/bedding etc are covered with fluff and cat hair. Tumble drying always de-fluffed what washing left behind. I don't really want to get a dryer just to de-lint everything, but I'm getting frustrated. I just washed a lovely duvet set - it seems to have as much cat hair on it as it did when it went in the machine I have assorted lint rollers/brushes etc etc, but they're really more suited to touch-ups than wholesale de-fluffing. Omleteers know everything - so any suggestions?
chickencam
Sorry all that I can suggest is lint rollers or alternative cat sleeping areas.
Olly
No easy answer - I usually find that machine washing it makes the cat-hair gather in one place and it can then be removed. The easiest way to get cat-hair off carpets, chairs etc is a wet rubber glove rubbed backwards and forwards, which collects the cat hair up but that's not great for a large area like a duvet cover. Yorkshire Pudding
I use those sticky lint rollers, we stock up when we pass IKEA. Also I got a latex foam block from Pets at Home that is quite good at pulling the worst of the fluff off. Much as we love our 2 very fluffy cats, my OH sometimes gets frustrated with the fur they leave about and has threatened to shave them on more than one occasion ! merlina
thanks for the suggestions The problem is the 'dusty' tiny fluffy stuff as much as the cat hair I've got the sticky rollers, but it's such a pain having to roll practically everything I was hoping to hear of some genius gizmo that went in with the washing and somehow captured all the fluff! I fear I either need to stop wearing black, or buy a tumble dryer
freddie
Or just be fluffy, like me, and the entire inside of the family car, so Everyone is equally plastered!!
