Ain't Nobody Here
Just booked 2 nights in Berlin for November for our 25th anniversary . With only 2 days there, it'll be a whistlestop tour - any recommendations for must-see attractions?
Olly
Ooh, lucky you! Berlin is fabulous - the public transport system is absolutely brilliant, makes you wonder why it can't be like that everywhere ... definitely visit Checkpoint Charlie, it's hard to believe that Berlin was once a divided city but there's an exhibition there as I recall (a few years since I went). There are some excellent art museums, I can't remember which ones I went to, but if you're on a short break then a river trip is well worth while as it will give you a feel for the city and the different areas. Gertie
Great choice! And congrats. I went to Berlin last August. It was really great. Would recommend the zoo if you don't mind captive animals. We went to the concentration camp sachenhausen which was very very sad but enlightening. We went on a riverboat tour and hired bikes. Would definitely recommend this. I am a rubbish cyclist but the whole city is totally geared up for cyclists & it was easy and fun for a day out & picnic. Also went to all the museums. The holocaust museum was emotional but educational. Have a lovely time!
