Goldie
Not happy...just discovered a rat living very near to the chicken coop Traps are duly set...but what damage can they do to my girls? They're not the bravest of hens, couldn't see them going for a mouse let alone something that size Should I be worried?
Leicester_H
On 2 occasions (over 6 years) we've spotted a lone rat. We called the council who were very good - set baited traps - returned weekly until he was convinced rat had gone. All free - excellent service. Andrew
I can second that course of action. Quick action is the key, before they breed. The bait and traps that are used/set by the professionals really work well and are extremely effective. For the first time in ages we had what seemed like an explosion of rats up near our WIR this year. Next door (who also have chickens) were suffering the same fate as us. The professionals came in, and within two weeks all signs of rats had gone. We've seen none since either. Andrew
