Bobbys Girl
Hi All, Not sure if this is the correct place to post and my apologies if it isn't. Had to take Mac to the vets yesterday as she was looking very lethargic and had a squitty bum,had tried to give her nutri drops and lifeguard tonic, but had that little niggle in my mind especially after loosing Banjo a few weeks back. So glad I did, turns out she had an impacted crop. The vet says that it wasn't true 'squitts' it was just due to the fact that there was only liquid passing through, no food passing through to be able to produce the normal poo. They operated yesterday and found it was impacted because of the cabbage they've been eating, she must have torn off a bigger bit than 'normal' Just thought I'd post this as I wasn't aware that feeding them cabbage could cause such an issue and wouldn't want anyone to loose their girls in this way. Mac has now been discharged and is happily scuffing around her run. I am so relieved that I got her to the vet in time. From now on, no more cabbage, only cauliflower or broccoli.
