Busybusy 2
Hi, I have an eglu classic with 4 chickens. When I lock them up at night, there is always one sitting in the nesting box and I presume staying there all night. ( droppings I'm sure are the giveaway sign) What should I do , if anything ? Thanks
mcfee2
I had this when we started with the classic - I used to put a big football in about an hour before dusk and then take it out when I let them out in the morning. it left no room for them to squeeze in, and worked perfectly! I have the same problem now they're in the cube, though nothing I have will block the hole and with it getting light so early there's usually one egg already laid by the time I get out to them in the morning, so I don't really want to stop them from getting to the nest box for the time being. it just means a clean through every morning when we do their grub and glug!
