I was just looking you understand, went for a coal scuttle (it's a farmers market with junk). There was 3 diddy little buff naked neck growers huddled together in a pen and when they got to them they were described as 3 pullets so with a starting price of £2 my little hand couldn't contain it'self and shot into the air nearly impaling the the nose of the poor man next to me with my fingers. Anyway I'm now the delighted owner of 3 naked necks, only I suspect 2 could be chaps .

 

When will I learn to keep my hands in my pockets and my eyes shut. Got the coal scuttle too.

That made me laugh!! I am sooo glad there are no auctions up here with livestock or goodness knows what I would come home with!!

Well done and good luck with them. I regularly go to an auction - no livestock but on the site of a farm which does sell chooks. Have resisted but nice to watch them in between the lots I like.
