Hippychicky Posted October 30, 2013 Share Posted October 30, 2013 Hi I'm quite new to chicken keeping and would like some advice please. One of my girls has got the sneezes, mucus coming out of her nostrils, frothy eyes at times. She had the same two weeks ago and I dosed her with ACV and she seemed much better. Today's she started the same cycle and I'm worried that she needs antibiotics. Tylan has been recommended but from what I can tell I need a prescription but I don't know a local vet who treats chickens and the closest one I know of is going to charge a fortune. Sandychick Posted October 30, 2013 Share Posted October 30, 2013 It sounds something like mycoplasma which will definitely need antibiotics from a vet. It shouldn't need a very chicken savvy vet to prescribe some for her (usually Baytril). What area do you live in?
