Firework night NO thanks

Recommended Posts

My neighbours are having the loudest fireworks I have ever heard....I am too scared to go out to check the girls for fear of finding one or all dead with shock.....I am so sick of fireworks stating 1st November and still going on now....what the hell....if they dare say anything about the noise my girls make they are going to get a mouthful......

No wonder my girls have turned savage...it's the stress if not getting a good nights sleep.....problem is as they are now in two separate groups I can't even bring them in the hose in a box!!!!!!!

Am fuming if you hadn't guessed

An unexpected bonus of moving to the countryside is that firework season was dramatically curtailed.

In the city it seemed to go on for months as people celebrated Eid, Diwali etc. In fact fireworks seemed to be on sale from early autumn until after the Chinese new year and the poor cats would be dragged inside as soon as it got anywhere near dark for months on end.

In our village there were fireworks heard on just two evenings, and then just for a very short time. The chooks seemed unpeturbed.

I shall be adding this to my list of things I like better about the countryside
