chickencam
Has anyone used their points this way? I was wondering if you then have to buy tickets in your own name or if it is possible to do this for someone else. My DS who will still be 17 would like to fly to Minnestota in. February to see his girlfriend and we were wondering if we could put our clubcard points to good use for part payment. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Grandmashazzie
Hi chickencam read this earlier but do not have experience with club card and avios have used club card for other deals hotels etc and used it in past when you converted to airmiles and we found the deals weren't that great, only certain flights could be used this way and hotels charged a much higher price to use for club card deals than if you tried to book independently . majorbloodnock
I'm not certain, but I believe you can book a flight for someone else. What might be more to the point is that you can set up a household account, meaning you could transfer avios from one person to another without attracting any charges. The only two important limitations are that you all have to live at the same address and avios can't be transferred (household account or otherwise) to an account that doesn't have any avios already.
