beach chick
am giggling at couperwife's singles holiday brochures!! we had a fab day out yesterday - totally exhausting, but good to not think about anything work related. Imp War Museum great, and to my surprise was not so totally boy/death orientated that the girls were put off. I was very proud, my 10 and 8 year olds were the only children in the entire RFH audience, and they behaved IMPECCABLY. the 10 year old even got into conversation with a very nice gentleman as to whether the RFH Carmen Jones was superior to the Opera House 'proper' version (which she went to with school). they both agreed the Opera House was better! (sorry, proud mum moment). today I have: taken girls riding. dealt with chooks. loaded and unloaded dishwasher and washing machine. been to waitrose. tidied study (well, put stuff in the relevant piles anyway) and made enormous to do list - cant do just the 6 things tho, I'd forget something! so this afternoon I am going to clear a load of the dribs and drabs from it, and concentrate on writing on Monday when I have my first day's childcare of the summer hols... totally agree with all those who need to achieve before relaxing, we must all be Type A personalities!!
