Access to a website

Recommended Posts

I know there are some internet experts on here, apologies to everyone else for a boring non festive post.

I have an iPad at home but have bought a tesco hudl as it's smaller I can carry it around and use it at work. This morning I wanted to access a website I routinely use for work purposes. The hudl says this website is not available. However I can get on it from my iPad??? Confused.

In case I had the name or anything else wrong I emailed myself the link to the login page I use from the iPad. Still says not available. I also googled the website and tried that without success.

I can get on other websites from the hudl. Confused

FRED?? I think its Fred who knows all the IT questions. Where are you????

I think he would know. I'm no further forward despite my research and good old trusted google. I think it has something to do with the Hudl using Chrome as a browser. I can get on with iPad, and iPhone (safari) and husbands laptop (Internet explorer) but I have no idea how to make chrome access a website I know is ok!

Don't think it is likely that the site is not Chrome compatible -as that would be more likely to display bits of the web-site but maybe get the formatting wrong. I would guess that the most likely is that the Hudl has been pre-configured with some sort of web-filter that is deciding that the site you want is not appropriate. Have a look for something similar to safety settings and see if you can switch the censor off.
