Redwing
You need CPH (holding) number and a flock number too One is a matter of a phone call to Defra and the other a phone call to Trading Standards - all of ten minutes work and very easy. You then get paperwork in the post to confirm everything When you buy your goats (you need two, a single one would be very lonely) you will get a Movement Form from the seller, you keep one copy and send the other off Never buy a goat if it doesn't have ear tags and if no movement form is provided. Many sellersask about a holding number as it's illegal to sell to someone without the relevant registration When you have your goats you must keep up to date accurate records of any medication, vet checks etc Every year you get a form to update the number of goats kept which you must return Goats are not very easy to keep, they need good shelter, lots of grass and high fencing!
