sjp Posted January 27, 2014 Share Posted January 27, 2014 brown eggs do get lighter as the season goes on and do very from day to day during each egg laying cycle as the pigment get used up. with some birds it's more noticeable than others I have one bird (not a Lohmans) that has a 10 day cycle the first egg is a nice dark one the rest can be anything from speckled to a rough looking cream colour also with hybrids they aren't all the same strain so that can be a factor to Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
