Shelley13
Just taken delivery of four new hybrids and two of them have already made the Eglu nesting box their night-time quarters. Dumb question I'm sure, but what's the most effective method of denying them overnight access, or should I not bother?
Beantree
I get them out of that habit immediately Shelly13 by obstructing the nest box with plant pots and placing the birds on the perches at night. Otherwise they poo in the nest box which can result in dirty eggs.
Shelley13
Thanks for that. Yes, the poo is already a problem in the nesting box. I'll do as you suggest, though I'm a bit worried that one of the two nest box refugees might be in there to escape a bully but I'll give it a go
