flyingchicken
Despite losing two pairs of chooks at separate times to foxboy, I am giving it a third and final go. Does anyone know where I can buy decent chooks in the south Essex area and what about extending the run? Letting them out knowing they will be eaten doesn't seem fair
Egluntyne
Am glad you have decided to give it another go. I remember you posting about your last disaster. Get a fox watch, and only let them free range when you are around them and they should be fine. They will be quite happy confined to the run when you are out. Can't help you re a supplier....but good luck.
Cinnamon
Medowsweet have agents all over the area, so try them. Their hens are lovely - all of mone are medowsweet girls. Good luck with your attempt - maybe you should go for a cube if you need more space for them (You can have more hens that way too )
Guest
I get mine from http://www.hens4homes.co.uk, Kirsty down there is lovely but mad as a box of frogs and she will give you all the help you need. She also has loads of rare breeds to look around. She isn't an eglu fan though.
