quickcluck
Hi guys Does anyone know how do tell if a dog has a wee infection??? Saffi the Yorkshire terror has wee'd on 2 of the beds in the house in 2 days!! Apart from being livid i'm wondering why as it's so out of character for her. Both times is was a big wee and very strong smelling. One of them was on a bed I was in at the time! We do have an extra dog at the moment, but he comes often and they are great friends, she's never done it before.... Any ideas? Being naughty or poorly?? Chucky Mama
You could try and catch a sample and take it to the vets for a dipstick test. It could well be stress related due to the other dog in the house.
PixieDust
Not naughty. Could well be the other dog being there. How old is your dog? Here is some useful info: http://pets.webmd.com/dogs/guide/lower-urinary-tract-problems-infections-dogs
Cat tails
I would say, the other dog too. I think if she would have an infection, she wouldn't go to the effort of weeing on your bed. She would just let it go anywhere. Maybe she feels threatened and wants to mark territory, which includes you. I would give your girl the run of the house and restrict the other dog to a room or kitchen etc.
