Valkyrie
Last week I had an email from "Mike" saying Hi Kerry let's meet up. Now I've had emails from Larry, John, James and Uncle Tom Cobley and all and I've treated them all the same. JUNK! But this one was slightly different - the message actually said Jen and I are meeting up in town and we could meet you there. So I still treated it as junk and sent it off as such, but it has troubled me ever since. My mum's cousin is Mike and he is only a couple of years older than me and we also have a cousin Jennifer and he always refers to her as Jen. She doesn't live too far away either. I also know he is computerphobe so it was unlikely that he would email me. He had been staying with my mum last weekend so I did wonder. It troubled me so much that I rang him today and no he didn't send me a message - as I thought and he doesn't have an email address either. But it just goes to show the odds on getting something close like that can happen. I'm just so wary.
Couperwife
it is really scary what some people will do isnt it. I would guess it is some kind of program that picks names from your contact list and links them together It worries me that some of these emails go to children who might not be as vigilant as some adults (and also some vulnerable adults) cathy x
Valkyrie
Neither names are in my contact list Cathy, it's pure chance. My mum has told me that Jen has moved away from my area too, so not likely to be popping up for a quick lunch visit!
