mollyripkim
My silkies often go broody but happily come off the nest to eat and drink several times a day but omg my Sultan is pure evil! I have been lifting her off and putting her outside, yesterday she attacked and made one of my little pekin's comb bleed and this morning she has full on attacked my cocker spaniel. Thank goodness Pebbles just ran away and didn't retaliate so now she is in a dog cage raised on bricks and is not a happy girl. I've been checking up and it seems three days and nights should do, just hope its not too cold at night for her.
mimi5
My anti-broody cage gives me great service every year Of course now I actually want one of my remaining 2 to go broody nada, not a taker! Typical 3 days & nights straight should do it.......although mine have sometimes needed longer
mollyripkim
Thanks Mimi, today is the third day and I think it might take a little bit longer. Isn't it always the way when you want them broody, I have a load of duck eggs at the moment and was so tempted but have given them away.
