PixieDust
Was just changing the bedding and sieving the sand in the run when I heard what sounded like a squeaky dog toy. Dog was indoors but I went to check on the Pobs and bloomin' Lily was murdering a frog. Oh the noise it made upset me, it was horrible. So me being me, I chased her all over the garden for 10 minutes but she wouldn't drop it and it just kept squeaking. In the end I gave in. First time I have seen them kill anything larger than an ant!
Grandmashazzie
How distressing, much as I have a frog phobia. I just imagine they are going to launch themselves and land on me. I wouldn't like to hear one suffer. Poor wee froggie.
Beantree
I chased one of ours that grabbed a fledgling robin off the lawn and ran off with it. Caught her and the robin seemed fine when released, fortunately. Three of our TNN's had surrounded and were growling at something on the ground. Turned out to be a huge toad. That was picked up and placed well out of harms way. Just been out and found it wallowing in one of the drinking bowls!
PixieDust
Was just upset at the noise and frogs are good for the garden. Oh well, plenty more frogs and plenty more chickens I guess.
