soapdragon
I need to rebatch some soap but not sure if it will work! Has anyone done this before and how did you do it? I will check Google but personal experience is always good to hear!
Egzandra
I made some honey soap which did not set very well. was going to rebatch it but I chickened out and decided to make a new batch of a basic recipe scented with lemon into which I grated the honey soap and it turned out fine, a bit mottled because the grated soap did not dissolve completely but rather attractive, I thought. soapdragon
Thats interesting....the soap that I wanted to rebatch is honey! I made it in a square container and, when I tried to cut it, it did not cut smoothly so looked a mess! I did some in moulds and that was fine. Honey soap does set very quickly and can be troublesome but the moulded stuff was fine. Apparently rebatched soap will always be a bit mottled as it never does disolve completely but I just didn't want to waste it. Perhaps I'll try your method over the next few days.....I guess the rebatched soap needs to be as finely grated as poss
