billathome65
Ok people a quick question. My chucks have always been happy roaming the enclosed and open run until the other morning a fox jumped over and killed them all. So now im looking to confine any new ones to the enclosed run however this is around 10 to 12 ft long and only 2.05 ft wide so how many chucks can I comfortably keep in there? The hutch is on the outside opening into the hutch. The run is flagged but can lift them but worried about disease as it is obviously static. I am looking at chuck POL like Warrens Speckledy Black Rocks etc Thanks for the advice
sjp
it's about 1sqm per bird as a minimum as for the slabs their best left down with some sort of bedding on top I prefer wood based outside your only looking at a 2 or 3 at a push in a run that size
billathome65
Cheers was thinking that myself I had 4 with the open run so 3 is more than enough. the eggs usually go to the dogs if we get to many thanks. Am going to give the run a good clean out and probably get some more chucks early in the new year. Thanks for the reply
