Coccidiosis is in the environment and usually affects chicks under 6 weeks as after that they develop immunity. We keep our chicks in a clean environment for 6 weeks then gradually expose them to the outside; we've never had an adult bird with it. I have heard rare cases of whole flocks being diagnosed with it though, caused by poor breeding and/or poor welfare I think. The first thing is to be absolutely sure that's what they have.
