Durham Lass
Hello My first two lovely ladies have gone (old age) and I got some replacements on Wed. They are Marans and came from a local farm. When I collected them, they were roosting in a tree. I kept them in for the first two nights and days but tonight they flew into my neighbour's tree and I had a right job getting them out. I live rurally but I think my neighbour will object if this continued. I've clipped their wings and it's made little difference as they are young and light. Should I keep them in the run for a few more days to get them into a habit of going in or shall I give up and return them? Cheers
harveypup
I would maybe keep them in for a little longer until they realise where they are supposed to go to bed. Welcome to the forum
Egluntyne
Hello and welcome. I agree....keep them confined to the run for a few days, to break their old habit, and get them used to their new home.
