Cinnamon
I have had both & would get both again. They will happily mix together, along with lots of other bantams,so why not get both? You can never have too may chickens
MrsDaisy
do they both lay well? I'd be happy to have a mix
Cinnamon
I have got a mixture of 5 different bantams at the moment, & they are all good layers of smallish eggs with huge yolks. Although they do take a winter break from laying Go for a mix.Pekins have the personality,Silkies the looks& Polands the weird factor There are plenty of Banty photos in my gallery
MrsDaisy
that's encouraging, i googled silkies earlier (as i'd been stuck on pekins until the breeder offered silkies too...) but the article i read said they were really poor layers. not that it's all about the eggs but i neeeeed some laying birds!
