Answer: At least 7 hens and one chick as happened this morning when DH opened the cube door. I wish I had had a video camera running...... So much for coming out in theor pecking order. We had a repeat this morning as well - then three of the hens decided it was too dark to be up and about so went back to bed........ Helen in Hume.
