First time we've had chickens, did our research & made sure they were bought from a reputable place, they've been wormed & use mite treatment. Since we got them 2 have sadly died already, one a few months ago & another died today. They didn't appear to be unwell, no signs of any issues that I can see. Is this normal to lose 2 of them so soon? Or any possibilities that could be causing this? Cat tails Posted January 4, 2022 Share Posted January 4, 2022 Sorry to hear you lost your hens. It could many different things. But very sudden deaths could be heart related. It can be very hard to spot an illness in a hen, as they are prey so they’ll do everything to conceal they’re weak.
