Egluntyne
Just seen it on the news. 40 firefighters there. Let's hope the manage to put it out quickly, with no injuries.
Olly
It's near Hackney Wick, I think it's a warehouse that has caught fire. I'm afraid my first concern, once it appeared that "Ooops, word censored!"ody was injured, was whether it would shut the Tube down apparently it hasn't, but the North London line is closed for safety reasons. lizinsa
Just been told to shut our windows and doors, yet reporters are at the scene and haven't been asked to move. Hopefully I can get in to school this afternoon. It's quite close to the new Eurostar line but the fire seems under control
Guest
Sky News are now reporting that it's an old bus depot on fire, and that'll be why you're being told to keep windows shut and stay indoors - they think it's diesel that's burning - wouldn't fancy a lungfull of that. Lynn
Hopefully everyone is safe - I'm at Canary Wharf and can see the fire from the office - secretly hoping of course that we can go home early this afternoon but they will probably keep us in for elf and safety ! Richard T
About an hour ago I was strolling around Trafalgar Square and Whitehall and it smelled like something had been burning. I wonder if it was this fire?
