ClaireNF
Hi, I'm wondering what material people use to line the litter pan for the omlet cube. I have been using pine shavings, but they are not composting well and I'm having trouble dealing with the waste. Thanks!
Beantree
Wood shavings take several years to break down so we switched to Aubiose, which is crushed plant stems I think? We have, for at least 8 years now, been using magazines or newspaper. Magazines last a lot longer (remove the staples). We scrape the poo off daily with a brush and metal scoop and when the paper is too soiled it goes in the dustbin. Chicken poo compost is very strong, so use it sparingly on the veg plot. Cat tails
I line with newspaper too. It can even go into the council compost bin here.
