Hi guys,

We have spoken to DEFRA and they are happy that the winter shade is a suitable cover to protect your chickens from wild birds and brid flu. We can't say that it is "offically approved" but they think it is fine :)

Yours,

James

p.s. We are making a run extension which will be available in the next few weeks. When we know exact dates I will let you know.

Thanks James, that's nice to know, even if I have just spent a sizeable chunk of me very busy weekend clearing out the garden shed in preparation for moving chickens and eglus into it  Mind, I did think that moving them indoors temporarily might give me the opportunity to reseed the lawn especially if the weather remains mild :D

I know what you mean Kate. My garden is an absolute slimy mudhole now - the girls have destroyed everything and my Grandma is telling me that she told me so!

It looks like Yoda's home planet Dagobah from my patio doors... :(
