Cinnamon
Errr - hate to give obvious answer on a forum of Eglu owners, but an Eglu is a perfect hen house, with a fox resistant run A lot of people leave the house door open 24/7, especially in summer,so the hens can pop into the run as & when they like. then you just need someone to come ober once a day to collcet the eggs & make sure they have food & water

Cinnamon
I think that 3 is a nice number to start off with. Then if you want more you can always get a run extention & a couple more hens, when the time comes
Guest
4 are very comfortable in an eglu at night. You would need a rum extension so that they have enough room during the day. Otherwise, no problems. Chickens are really easy to look after.
