AJuff
Arrived home to find a multicoloured nest . . one white, brown, green and blue egg all sitting pretty. How wonderful. Now I'm thinking, what's going to happen when we go away for three days during half term? Will they break the eggs by laying on top of them each day? Snowy
Sounds a lovely nest Ajuff! There is a risk they will break some as they lay on top of the ones already there. How many days are you going away for? Is there any one who would collect for you in return for a box?
AJuff
My neighbour is always keen to collect the eggs and feed them treats. It's just my daughter has been very guarded about giving away the special green and blue eggs!!!
Ain't Nobody Here
Hope you got a picture of that . I bet it looked lovely . We would have had 3 in a nest today but one got kicked out (I'm assuming - it was sitting just outside the door with a crack in it ). I'm still hankering after a blue egg but don't think 4 in a run with extension would be fair (would it?).
Snowy
I had 4 in a run with extension ANH. They were fine as they got to freerange a few hours a day, most days. the hardest thing for you though would be integrating 1 to your existing 3. (Not impossible though! )
AJuff
I'd go for two more if I were you. There's bags of space in the eglu and ias long as they were able to get out and free range most days they'd be absolutely fine.
