mayflower
Hi, a couple of weeks ago, there was someone here who gave info on a website for fox proof alarms. The advert claimed that their alarm was 100% fox proof because, instead of going off every 8 secs, it only sends out the high pitch sound when a fox is near, thereby the fox begins to associate the noise with themselves. I ca'nt find the website anywhere so, could someone help me out here please. The company also sells rat and mice deterrants which looked good. I want to do everything possible to protect my future ex bats hens....arriving in a few weeks time!! The green eglu cube has arrived, and Hubby has made a convalesent henhouse for the girls until they are strong enough to climb the ladder. Thanks
Ain't Nobody Here
Hi, I don't know the actual website you mean but assuming you aren't sure what the alarm is called I imagine it's a "foxwatch" you're looking for. Does that help?
Olly
your thread has posted twice, mayflower - I answered on the other one. Perhaps a mod will come along and put the two together!

mayflower
Thanks everyone. I ordered a foxwatch on the net last night also a mice and rat deterrant.......every little helps. Just gives me a bit more peace of mind, though of course I will still have to be vigillant. My ex bats hens can be collected on 15th March so we are very excited to meeting our new family. Tiggy
I have a fox watch which seemed to work at first but on Sunday 3 of my 4 ex bats were killed in seconds with me in the poly tunnel next to them at 11 in the morning. you cannot rely on it at this time of year, they can only be out of the covered run when you are right there with them
