Helen&Lee
Got home last night, my OH let the chooks out for the last half hour of light, came in and commented that there was green poo in the run... I went out and on closer inspection its actually a forest green colour Nothing different about their diet except yesterday morning I did throw in a small red cabbage that was beginning to be past its best, thinking that if they didn't like it they could practise their football skills The cabbage was nowhere to be found last night so I presume they liked it Could this explain the flourescent poo? Eyren
Very probably! The red pigment in cabbage turns blue under certain chemical conditions (can't remember what off the top of my head - possibly acid, which chicken poo is), so it could easily have turned your girls' poo a bluey-green!
