bronze
Nia has been givena gorgeous pair of brown leather boots but she has the opposite problem to me. her calves are slightly too fat for them. Does anyone know of any ways to stretch shoe leather?
Cinnamon
I remember long, long ago buying a jar of leather stretcher from a cobblers once. Also,I have had shoes taken in to be stretched for me - or maybe if its the calf they could put an elastic gusset or a zip in?
Yorkshire Pudding
A long shot, Bron - my Dad swears that if you bury leather for a week or so, microbes in the soil will soften it. Fill the boots with newspaper first. He used to do this with Army boots when new, and they would soften enough to be werable (he had arthritis in his feet so whenever he was issued with a new pair they would be very uncomfortable for a while). You have to give them a really good polish afterwards, but it seems to work.
