debbie26pet
is this the same stuff as im struggling to find Stalosan S,
jomaxsmith
I don't think they're the same thing - Stalosan (I believe, from half reading posts on here) is for disinfecting/nutralising the poo in the run. It would therefore be more like using garden lime (which you buy from a Garden Centre) Jo

Christian
Stalosan F is available by mail order from here - http://www.ascott.biz/acatalog/Stalosan-25-kg-MD111.html Do you have red mire in your wooden house Debbie or is that that you use red mite powder in your house? Stalosan F is a general disinfectant to use in the house/run, where as red mite powder should be used for lice/mite in the dust bath or directly on the hens. BarbaraJ
I was told to use red mite powder in the coop too. I also use diatom powder. I haven't used the stalosan yet but will when i change the aubiose. Is louse powder different to red mite powder then, something else to buy? Christian
Yes I do that too Barbara. I'm sure that red mite powder kills lice as well as mites, all creepy crawly things. Not at home so can't check at the moment.

Christian
I have only done mine once in nearly 2 years. It is a good idea to check them over regularly, but i wouldn't put them through de lousing every month for nothing.
