Del
I have a large back garden so decided to buy 4 chucks during lockdown with the idea of having my own “home grown” eggs. After a couple of months, they were giving me @ 2 per day, more than enough…then I left them last winter to their own devices (feed water and straw, nought else really)….now have 14 bantams, all layers. You cannot beat homegrown eggs, sooo much better than the ***** you get from the supermarket. I am putting a “honesty box” at the end of my drive and wondered what would be a good price for 6?…I’m thinking £1. No change and most people have a quid or two in the glovebox. Is that a fair price?
