AliA
Hello, I am soon to be the proud owner of an eglu cube with extention and have been offered two beautiful Buff Orpington hens to live in it. I have been reading conflicting opinions/articles with regard to the suitability for such big birds being housed in a cube. Are there any eglu cube owners out there who keep Buff Orpintons happily in it or are they simply too big?. Thanks Ali
MedusA
I'm sure I've read on here of someone keeping Buff Orps in an eglu, so I'm sure a cube would be like living in luxury!
clucky1
I may get some buffs in the future. I currently have six mixed-type chooks in my cube. I must admit having seen the size of buff's I probably wouldn't put more than 4 in one.
feemcg
My huge Buff Orp was raised in an eglu but once 'she' (turned out to be a he ) reached a certain size point blank refused to go in the eglu, then when she went into the run with the cube never, ever attempted the ladder and used to sleep on the run floor, A couple of forum members have Orps sleeping happily in cubes though.
