Hi Everyone,

 

I need to order some topsoil for a massive raised planter that we hae just finished.

 

Can somebody tell me how to work out what quantity I will need to have delivered please

Building suppliers often do a 'Big Bag' of screened topsoil. I think they are a cubic metre bag. - the big ones which builders have sand etc. delivered in.

 

Buy screened stuff if you can as it has been screened for weed seeds. Also -ask if you can see it to check the quality - we had some really rough stuff delivered last year which we hadn't checked - more like subsoil

I think I'll just measure the area and depth I need filling and get the merchants to work it out for me
