paintingbird
Does anyone know what breeds are usually used for battery farming; we are thinking of adopting a couple in the summer. Lettie, Clara and Flo.

paintingbird
Many thanks, I guess they are medium sized like the papperpots and would get on with them OK. Lettie Clara Flo very old cat Beau
buffie
Hi Paintingbird and welcome. Mirkwod and Egluntine are quite right and as I work for BHWT and recently adopted I can recommend adoption 100%, we have our 3 girls living a lovely retirement. You'd need to adopt a minimum of 3 and have space to keep them separate for a couple of weeks or so, sorry edited as cross posted earlier Just look at our website www.bhwt.org.uk and find out more, BBx Edited April 20, 2008 by Guest
Egluntyne
I guess they are medium sized like the papperpots and would get on with them OK. There might be a few skirmishes to start with., but it is generally managable. They are medium sized but are usually fairly scraggy to start with. If by any chance you have separate accommodation available for then, I would personally use it, as I think a period of quarantine and quiet readjustment is a good idea. If you haven't, they will just be glad to have a new home. You will love having them.
Scotty
Not sure if its any help but we've just adopted 4 ex bats and they were Rhode Island Reds. Very very friendly (happy to be cuddled!) and fab eggs.
