Chickvic
Today my daughter went out to see how dirty the eglu was and she found our little miracle inside! We weren't sure who had laid it but we now think it is Opal as she has been nesting...throwing shredded paper everywhere and getting comfy in the nest box! None of them have been crouching really and Opal and Pearl still only have pink combs. Poor Ruby is miles behind! My daughter has done about 20 egg dances! We did one together! Just found my digital scales egg weighs in at 46g. Edited April 26, 2008 by Guest
chelsea
what a lovely looking egg! Congratulations and well done to whoever laid it!
FruitandNutCake
I think it is most thoughtful of our chickens to wait till the weekend. They must have known that we would be off work/school and eagerly waiting for their presents! Funnily, my 1st one was 42g and the second ws 46g - must be the average weight. FruitandNutCake
It's sooo good to find the eggs - Bonza's second one just arrived - but only came in at 40g today! Just need to wait for Dinks to lay her second one as I don't think it's worth cooking one on it's own!
