Just want to share with you all my excitement about my impending chicken additions. Have been researching and researching for the past 4 months on owning chickens and am so close now to getting them I may wet myself!!!!

My hen house arrived last night and a very helpful man put it all together for me. I have the lovely Tony (Aviaries4u) arriving on monday to put my run together and then on Monday afternoon we are going to get our girls and bring them home.

Just want to say how great this forum is and I have found out loads from it and thank you to Christian too who held the hen party we went to a couple of months ago and definately got me hooked.

If I am clever enough to load up some photos when it is all in my garden I will.

You do realise though that it is completely addictive We got our eglu and 2 ladies in January, we're picking up 2 more on Saturday and have 2 more on order which will arrive in September

Thanks for your replies. 4 days to go and counting. I am going to get a light sussex, amber star & 2 little brown girls which I think are Isa Warrens, don't know if there is another name for these. Will have to get a bit more proficient at using this site so I can add the girls on. I am so useless with the computer.

I have had my girls for 2 years now but I have ordered an eglu which might be there when I get home. This is all too exciting!!!!!!!!!!
