Snowy
I would see how she goes Debbie. Sometimes they do lay a few softies together, it's as if they pass through their system too fast to have the shell applied. If she continues to lay normal eggs now, she'll be fine. Although it will be worth worming and delousing if you have concerns about the supplier. You don't want them to pass anything on to your existing chooks! Egluntyne
If she has laid a soft egg then she won't be egg bound Debbie. Laying soft eggs takes it out of them and makes them poorly. It is always better to avoid a breeder/seller whose standards are not up to scratch as you may bring home a poorly hen who will infect your other girls. Maybe she hasn't been given an adequate diet in her previous home. A few days on good quality layers pellets and extra limestone flour might help.
