Hi,

I've ordered a cube and have decided to make some spare roosting bars as reports on here suggest that the OE ones are rather flimsy (my Eglu ones are and I've had to repair them several times - I now have three sets of bought ones so I can easily get them clean/swap them about)

 

Anyway, I'd be grateful if somebody could measure the overall dimensions of the cube roosting bars so I can have a go - I'd like to have them done and plastidipped for when the Cube arrives so I can use them to begin with, then I can plastidip the ones that come with it as a second set.

Hi - Plastidip is a specialised paint which comes in various colours including clear. It's like a rubberised paint which you can paint on your roosting bars (also available as an aerosol) and it makes them much easier to clean in future and also seals any gaps which red mite could potentially get into.

 

I bought mine direct from the manufacturer, but on Ebay, if you see what I mean - here it is

I'm replying to my own message here to ask again if anybody out there who has a cube could help me with my query about the roosting bar sizes?

 

I'd be very grateful if somebody could give me the measurements so I can try to make my own spare set before the cube arrives, or more likely get hubby to make some when he's home for the weekend!
