FruitandNutCake
I initially put my 3 to bed in an old rabbit hutch in the shed and locked them in at night so the rabbits had the run of the 8x6 shed at night. Then I got a 3ft by 2ft wooden coop, with perches for them to sleep in, but they insist on sleeping huddled up on top of the rabbit hutch in the shed! This is fine, as I now leave the shed door open, and the rabbits and chickens can access the 9ft x 13ft walk in run (roofed and double meshed). And this leaves the new coop for my ex-batts when they arrive. However, Bonza lays in a nest box in the shed, Dinks lays in a box in the run, and this morning I found Chuck had laid her first egg in the chicken coop! Not sure whether she laid it yesterday or this morning! I'm going to shut up the coop now until the ex-batts arrive, so Chuck can find an alternative place to nest! They just seem so fussy!
