daisymay
Well, day 5 and they've been out! Very exciting day for all of us! They've been going mad flapping about and running round. Even been perching on the top of the eglu run (have made a note to move the netting further away from the eglu just in case we have a bid for too much freedom! All 3 have tried to squeeze through the net but thankfully a bit too fat to get through! Lovely to watch and very funny!
daisymay
Cheeky blackie just flew straight over the net. It's the omlet netting. Anyone else have thins prob? Luckily she was happy to be caught and seemed more shocked she was out! Think I have a houdini in my midst!
Egluntyne
Yep....happens here most days. You will have to move it further from the Eglus.
Cooks
it's very exciting when you let them free range for the first time isn't it. Funny because Sugar did exactly the same thing, got on top of the eglu... but she didn't go much further.. They now free range in the evenings when we are about and the weekends again when we are about and Mr Fox is kept at bay.... Do you have any pictures. Spike-J
Both Healey and Dora escape from our netting. Dora delights in standing on the eglu and teasing the dog. The netting is now only used when the dog is out in the garden with them unsupervised. They rub along quite well together generally but sometimes the dog wants to play (I think he thinks they are small dogs!) and they don't, or else sometimes Dora torments him, chasing and pecking him,(when she's not chasing sparrows!)
