*mummy_hen* Posted May 7, 2008 Share Posted May 7, 2008 Hi All, Collecting my girls in two weeks and getting all the last little bits done - Please could somebody suggest the best place to buy red-mite spray, there are so many different types online i am totally confused. I want a spray that i can just spray on their perches and in their house, don't want to have to put it on the birds themselves. Also....how often will the house need red-mite spraying? Janepie33 Posted May 7, 2008 Share Posted May 7, 2008 Hi I only used red mite spray when I saw a few mites between the bars of the perches. I used something called Defest made by beaphar (www.beaphar.com). I followed the instructions and it worked very well. It is supposed to be used in cages and aviaries and is safe to use around birds.
