4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

Help please!!!! I've just had the girls creating down the garden and found them chasing a baby ?wild? rabbit - I've managed to catch the poor thing but I'm not sure what to do now - I can't work out how it's got in as the garden is well fenced to stop the girls getting out - I've put it in a box with some straw as I'm scared to let it go unless the girls go for it again or the cat gets it -

Oh heck!

 

Make sure it has some water and then maybe do some door knocking in your neighbourhood as some frantic new bunny owner might be ever so worried

Oh dear! If its a baby wild rabbit, can you release it where the chickens won't be able to get at it so maybe it can find its way back to the burrow.

does it look like a wild rabbit? are you next to open fields? Are you able to pop it back over the fence so it can find its way home?

it's a cute little brown rabbit - probably only 6" long at the most - I've spoken to the neighbours nearby but no one is missing any pets. Our garden backs onto a railway line and beyond that is another row of houses and then the fields but I can't believe this tiny thing could have come so far. OH wants me to just put it over the back wall onto the railway embankment and I know he's probably right but I know something bad will happen to it. There is always the local animal sanctuary - I might ring them in the morning.

ifou have handled it you need wipe it clean before you release it anyway or it will be rejected i speak from experience- you are best just trying to find where it came from and putting it back, its not a pet so nature needs to take over
