Ruby finally joined in and laid her first egg today! A respectable 41g. Opal did try to lend a helping hand or beak Ruby was in the nesting box and Opal decided it was her turn to lay. Ruby lifted slightly and Opal dived underneath saw the egg about to make it's entrance and pecked at it while it was still in Ruby Luckily the egg landed safely in the nest and was removed before Opal sat on it! Opal then laid and made a row to show she knew how to do it too

this made me laugh.... she only did it to beat my two egg day.. opal sound like a real laugh!

lol what a palava, mine are taking their time to lay Amber is squatting at last so hopefully next week we may get a 3 egg day
